With the changing times don’t be surprised by your kid’s weird eating habits. Nowadays kids don’t like eating those green vegetables, fruits and nutritious food which you offer them. Instead they are total fans of junk food swarming the markets. But due to this your kid will lack nutrition and will not be able to maintain a strong immune system. This is the age when your child can develop a great physique and most important a proper physical health. SO you will never want your child to neglect those nutritious diets for health defoliating junk food. But the problem is how to get your kid eat what you serve? We have come up with a certain tips and tricks to bring forth a healthy child.

Family Meals

It has been proved through researches that the kids who indulge in eating with their families are more likely to eat fruits, vegetables and grains. So, have the three meals of the day with your kids and see them gorging on the tasteless green vegetables and the grains they always avoided. You can introduce various types of veggies to them. Avoid lectures at the dining tables which only end up in frowning kids and teens. Indulge your child in meal preparations and ask him to invite one of his friends for dinner. Educate your kid of the various benefits of eating those nutritious foods in an interesting way.

Healthy Foods

Kids tend to eat whatever is available at home rather than going outside. So, fill up your refrigerator with various fruits and vegetables so that they have no choice other than eating them. Bring certain fruits into your daily routine so that your kids become addicted to at least some of these. Kids generally don’t wait for the dishes to get ready when they are hungry and till then you have prepared one for them, they lose their appetite. So, keep some ready to eat foods in store which is both nutritious and tasty which your kids will love. Some healthy snacks are a great idea. Choose breads and cereals to provide your child with enough fibers. Cut down on sugary drinks, chips and candies.

Be a Role Model

Send the right message to your kids by being their role model. Kids try to follow the adults whom they see. So if you eat nutritious food in front of them they are sure to follow. Remember you can never teach your child what you cannot do.

No Battling Over Food

It is up to kids to decide over what they have to eat and what not and when they feel hungry and when they become full. No one can force them into anything. So try making the food interesting so that they themselves crave to eat. Limit whatever you collect at home. Keep the meals predictable for your child and stick to that schedule. If you want to shower affection on your child or show love then give them a big hug or take them out somewhere rather than spoiling them be providing with food. Get them involved while you prepare your meals so they become interested in the kind of food served to them.
